Sorry just need to express how bereft I feel when Mark is away and how much I HATE seeing him so overworked and stressed.

He was dropped on to learn, write and teach a course which he had never even seen on Thursday. The course begun on Tuesday, so he had three days including the weekend, to sort it all out! he did 60 hours overtime and then rushed off to Euston with worry lines all over his face and thoroughly depressed to be away from us again.

So far the course has gone well, except for a man from Latvia, who used to be a trainer and keeps trying to trip Mark up at very opportunity, Mark however has managed ti out him in his place every time but he is worn out by him and this entire project!

Thank goodness he is home tomorrow! And I cannot even have ONE glass of wine, next year I will have to give up cream! LOLOL

Love,

Amanda

Oh Amanda, I`m so sorry that Mark is off on his travels again, and he is working an awful lot of hours, as you say. It seems to be the norm these days that people are expected to work inhuman hours. My son Simon is a Project Analyst with HBOS, now Lloyds, and his new boss said last week he expects his team to be prepared to work 24/7 if necessary. As I say, inhuman.

Roll on Sunday for your wine!!

Take care,

Kathleen x

Hooray. He will be home today. Hope you all have a lovely weekend! :)

Kathleen you are so right it seems to be the general ethos in this economic climate - getting more for less out of employees,

Amanda - You must still drink out of a wine glass even if not wine, although sadly it may not have the same effect...

Kathleen, u said Sunday but it's not this Sunday, is it..........? Sorry to be a spoilsport... xx

Hugs all round, love Liz xx

Morning Amanda

So sorry to hear that Mark has been taken from you all again. This really is becoming such a regular recurrence and I'm sure he must be feeling the effects of all the extra work and anxiety this brings with it. Excellent news that he's home again today and the sun is shining ThumpUp once again! It's a beautiful day here although I'm sure once outside it's probably quite chilly but heyho it is lovely to see the sun!

Hope you all have a great weekend and Mark has an opportunity to relax and benefit from time away from 'the office'.
Take care Amanda

He's home! Thanks for the support.

Very exhausted...and said it was very hard work, but he was given six 'excellents' from the six students who attended so he is happy!

Love,

Amanda

So glad he's home, Amanda, and that the course went well. It must be horrible for you to see Mark so constantly stressed and over-worked and for all of you to be apart so much. Still, I've no doubt you treasure the time you're together, hope you have a lovely weekend.

Thank you everyone, the kind messages mean alot.

Mark had a row with boss yesterday when he tried to fob off another course to teach next week in Bedford!

Nightmare! Mark walked out and worked in another department for the rest of the day! LOL

Well done him for saying his bit! Some employers will keep pushing and pushing to see how far they can stretch someone and it isn't right. If this is extra he's being asked to do, he has every right to turn it down.

Hope it gets better for him!

Thank you Joanna.

Mark has been told he won't have to teach a course he's never even read next week (Holy week for us!) thankfully!

He has been told he is going to Edinburgh on his birthday though! We are seriously considering going together .....I quite fancy Edinburgh and he would book a nicer hotel and let them moan!

It is the NRAS weekend, his birthday is the 26th......

Thanks so much for the lovely support. He is having such bad headaches at the moment and is so stressed he is at breaking point, awful to see.

Love,
Amanda

Go for it Amanda!
Have a weekend in Edinburgh and spend some time together.
Would you take the children?
Hope Mark can get some relief from his headaches.

Love, Doreen xx
